The "Euroship 1" capsized in currents of 14 km/h at the spot where it grounded at Medvénél after the rudder was jammed, after the water level fell about 1,5 m. The "Krupina", "Breznik" and "Dunaj" were assumed to be sent to assist. The structure of the hull was meanwhile damaged beyond repair after the cargo holds flooded.
